Money
Currency
The monetary unit is the yuan, also referred to as renminbi (RMB), or CNY(Chinese Yuan).
Currency Exchange
Exchanging foreign currency is legal only at banks, hotels and some shopping outlets. There are no private exchange services, and the rates at hotels differ little from those at banks. Bank of China branches perform currency exchange, but most travelers rely on their hotel desks. In addition, if you have any other question, you can ask your China interpreter for help.
